Vintage Children's Clothing - Galena, IL

 

We have some adorable pieces of children's vintage clothing in the shop.  Photographer's have admired them for props, parent's have imagined their kids wearing them, and some customers have wanted them just because they are cute.

Have you ever thought of framing them?  Thrift stores usually have large frames tucked in the corner or on the wall.  Remove the print and replace it with one of these pieces.  And there you go, an easy piece of decoration for any room.

Warm weather can be so much fun!

Just got back from a week in Summerville/Charleston, S. Carolina.  The weather was above the 80's every day and we tried so hard to bring it back with us.  Sorry, it didn't work. Got to tour the Yorktown and the Middletown homestead, and the only tea plantation in the U.S.   Among other things.  Had so much fun catching up with our High School classmates.  The  group was small this time but I don't think I could have laughed anymore than I did.
Was able to do a little junkin while there. Found a few things to be added to the shop.  Found some awesome barkcloth with cowboy and indians on it. Haven't decided if I want to make pillows out of it or sell it whole. Soooooooooooooo Cute!!!!!!

No April foolin in Galena, Il

Spring is officially here and what better color to decorate with than pink?  Anytime I am out junkin,  if I see PINK my body seems to gravitate to it like a magnet!  What is you favorite?
So today is April 1st.  It was three years ago today that I opened my shop here in Galena, Il. and it's been a fun ride.  Lots of repeat customers so I like to restock as much as possible.  With the weather finally getting nice out I will be out hunting down treasures everywhere and anywhere. So next time you stop in expect to see "new" merchandise.
